As I write this, I'm sitting in rehearsal for the Easter program at my church. I'm excited for the drama and songs and for those who will be touched by it all on Sunday morning. We watched The Passion of the Christ last night in our youth ministry and I feel it's impossible to see Jesus' suffering and not be affected.
It can be easy to get so wrapped up with Easter egg hunts, church programs, and chocolate rabbits that we forget the purpose; we forget the price that was paid for us. I don't want to forget. I don't want to be so busy that I lose sight. This year I'm choosing to remember what God's love for me cost Him...
